Our KLASS sticker sheet gathers a total of 17 sticker motifs designed by us. The sheet is produced as a screen print with colour change from neon orange to neon pink. Each sticker sheet has a unique colour within the two print colours. KLASS Oracle: For one of the stickers, we developed an Instagram filter so that it becomes an oracle that predicts our future.
‘48 exxperts’ is a typographic-illustrative wall calendar for 2021. Each month four interesting female experts are presented. These women range from natural scientists to philosophers, astronauts or fighters. The elaborately produced calendar is perforated several times. Through the perforation the 4 motives on one page can be separated from each other and continue to exist as a single card.
After we had already portrayed 53 women with our KLASS calendar 2019, we wanted to continue with it because there are so many more women who were important to us. The monthly calendar 2020 ‘&’ features 48 women who fascinated or inspired us. For this, we started a collaboration with female designers who contributed to the calendar. Designed by KLASS & with extra contributions from: Janitha Banda & Dorit Birkner & Lana Bragin & Anamaria Fernandez & Johanna Flöter & Gesa Hansen & Annette Jacobs & Lisa Keiffer & Tina Kläring & Claudia Koch & Hedi Lusser & MarameoLab & Franziska Opel & Lisa Seitz & Bente Singelmann & Wondering Woman.
The KLASS calendar is an ongoing personal project that we reinvent every year. The 5th edition was a weekly calendar. Each of the 52 weeks of this calendar was dedicated to a woman who fascinates, moves or encourages us. The result is a mixture of quotes, portraits and inspired designs. The KLASS calendar is a framework in which we experiment with design forms and also communicate content which we find important.
On the occasion of our 4th anniversary, this issue of our ongoing personal studio project KLASS calendar is entirely dedicated to the number four: 4 years of KLASS, 4 designers, 4 sheets divided into 4 areas, 4 x 4 words made of 4 letters, 4 numbers, all neatly mixed together and then 4 different ways to hang the posters up. The KLASS calendar is a project that we reinvent every year. Everything from design to printing to finishing is done by us.
The third edition of our ongoing personal studio project is a booklet that you can hang on your wall. Each double page was dedicated to one contrast. We confronted opposites or interwove them, we questioned or reinterpreted and, above all, we called for tolerance. The KLASS calendar is a framework in which we experiment with design forms and create everything from design to printing and finishing ourselves.
The second edition of our ongoing personal studio project. For this monthly calendar we created adventurous creatures, strange ventures and combined worlds of thought. Created in a daring and thoughtful collaboration of three designers per month, this calendar is dedicated to the small and big adventures of life. The KLASS calendar is a framework in which we experiment with design forms and create everything from design to printing and finishing ourselves.
The KLASS calendar is an ongoing personal project of our studio with changing topics. ‘Bestiarium’ is the first edition and it plays with the most classic form of all calendars – the animal calendar. But not too strictly: already with the January motif we leave the animal world and show mushrooms. The KLASS calendar is a framework in which we experiment with design forms and with our collaboration. From design to printing and finishing, we create everything ourselves.
This elaborately produced wall calendar for 2019 shows the moon phases of the year. It is a visual, but also a tactile object due to the mix of smooth, glossy screen-printed lacquer on open-pored paper. A play with dark tones and gloss.
KLASS for Future was the first edition of a print-on-demand campaign initiated by us for a limited period. The shirt is made of fair-trade organic cotton and the proceeds of the shirt sales went to a bee conservation project.
KLASS for Kindness was the second edition of a print-on-demand campaign initiated by us for a limited period. The shirt sales went to the non-profit Hamburg street magazine ‘Hinz&Kuntz’, which is distributed by homeless people.
