Greta Granderath is a performance artist and writer based in Hamburg, Germany. We designed a responsive, typography focused, web-portfolio for her. A large menu with the sentence „greta granderath: performance maker & writer“ leads to different aspects of her work and the corresponding portfolios. The blue font on a grey background is a reinterpretation of black and white and underlines her conceptual work, contrasted by a bright linear colour gradient explosion in pink and blue, which is displayed on all clickable elements.
The portfolio website for the performance artist and artistic duo rykena/jüngst, inspired by the appearance of a simple Tumblr blog, is striking in its simplicity and celan aesthetic. Behind the simplicity lays a well coded seamless, smooth navigation between portfolio elements and their contents.
Visual identity and web design for Lisa Marie Zander. We developed a dynamic portfolio website showcasing her multifaceted work in design, architecture, city development, research and teaching. The site is a list-based catalog of Lisa’s many projects and it is accompanied by alternating neon yellow backgrounds, merging the worlds of tables in a unique visual language. Someone said it looked like „Suhrkamp 70er Jahre ironisch“.
For Lois Bartel, a freelance performer and theatre maker, we decided to create something quirky yet elegant. The speciality of this website are its interactive features that reorder images on click. Apart from that, the site is dominated by images and monochromatic font elements. Using a fullscreen slider in the projects section allows Lois to experiment with different media and layouts on her website while still blending in with the rest of the design.
Artist and protest sign influencer Chris Campe asked us to redesign and rethink her web portfolio. Our idea was to put the spotlight on „Chris Campe, the artist“, with a clearer organisation of the different areas and activities and an increase in visibility. Also: The Chris Campe world should look cool, with a focus on typography. We are more than happy with the result, the details in the fonts and all the great work of Chris that now gets more visibility and space.
The star element of the website, around which everything dances, is the staircase menu. On the website of choreographer, dancer and dance educator Nora Elberfeld, it takes up a constant amount of white space and creates a pleasant break. Together with the elegant strong typeface we designed a bright and joyful color palette that adds identity to the individual content and pages of the website.
The Artist Günter Wintgens approached us with a collection of his weight he is been writing down for years in a daily routine. He asked us to turn this collection into something tangible and making it experienceable to an audience. We designed the website seenbetweentwounseens.net on which the daily weight is shown. The background opacity and font-weight reflects the weight in relation to the last ten days. A constant weight results in a regular font with a white background. PS: Take a look into the console to find some more informations…
Juliana Oliveira is a Portuguese freelance performer and theatre maker living in Hamburg. We designed a three-column website that reflects her three identities and the three different languages, English, German and Portuguese. Each language has its own typography. The simplicity of the website is accompanied by a warm colour gradient.
Frauke Rubarth is a project manager in cultural education, a director & a game designer for participatory theatrical formats. Together with Frauke, we developed the idea of an oracle to give the website added value to a mere portfolio. The home page is turned into a game interface with a large exploding push! button. The button then activates a random script and a personalized oracle message appears. The whole website is characterized by this game aesthetic in terms of design and content.
